i see them all over the place. they remind me that someone is warning you not to get hurt in this specific place.

to me, they became nonverbal signals of human compassion. they interact with their surroundings and people quickly know what they mean and understand to look around to see if anything will hurt them.

sometimes they are just randomly placed, but don't lose their power.
